Back to Basics Chiropractic Sydney has been established since 2001. We currently provide our Sydney Chiropractic services to the St George and Parramatta regions, and many local sporting teams in the area including the St George-Illawarra Dragons and the Sydney Bulls Rugby League Club. Back to Basics Chiropractic also engages in regular community programmes, including free scoliosis screenings for local schools, and participation in TAFE-level information workshops.

We have both male and female practitioners who are able to provide a variety of techniques to cater for individual treatment needs. All of our Chiropractors have a minimum of five years University education, including a Masters degree, and are well-informed of current Chiropractic practices.

Back to Basics Chiropractic also offers instantaneous digital x-ray services with our on-site radiographic equipment. Our state-of-the-art technology allows for high-resolution digital images to be taken during consultation times to scan for injury, degenerative changes or general spinal screenings. These images can be viewed immediately, and recorded to disc for our patients to take home. Our x-ray views are bulk-billed through Medicare for all patients.

At Back to Basics Chiropractic, we believe strongly in creating a co-operative relationship between the patient and practitioner. Each patient is thoroughly educated on their specific condition and the avenues available to them. Patients are encouraged to take an active role in determining with the practitioner the best way to achieve high quality overall health.

Stephen C Agius Dr. Stephen C Agius - Kogarah
Stephen has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Anatomy and Physiology, as well as a Master of Chiropractic degree from Macquarie University and an International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma (ICSSD). He is a member of the Chiropractors' Association of Australia, The Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australia and the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic.

Stephen's interests include sports injuries, headache management, neurological disorders and spinal maintenance.

Chad Aiken Dr. Chad Aiken - Kogarah
Chad obtained his Bachelor of Chiropractic Science, as well as a Master of Chiropractic degree from Macquarie University. He is a member of the Chiropractors' Association of Australia, and is currently tutoring Chiropractic skills at Macquarie University. Chad has been actively involved in maintenance and treatment of the Sydney Bulls Rugby League Club since 2004.

Chad's interests include spinal care for children and general health maintenance. His hobbies include soccer and surfing.

Christopher Agius Dr. Christopher Agius - Parramatta
Chris has a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Masters of Chiropractic degree, both from Macquarie University. He has worked closely with the Sydney Bulls Rugby League Club and Sydney Olympic Football Club over the past few years, and has a keen interest in sporting injuries and paediatric care.

Chris has recently taken on duties as principal chiropractor at our Parramatta clinic.

His hobbies include going to the gym and cooking.

Prue Illidge Dr. Prue Illidge - Kogarah
Prue has been working as a Chiropractor since 2003 after she obtained her Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a post graduate degree as a Master of Chiropractic at Macquarie University. She is a member of the Chiropractors Association of Australia and currently tutoring Chiropractic skills at Macquarie University.

Prue believes in the importance of diet, exercise, and regular chiropractic maintenance to keep you healthy and out of pain! Prue loves travelling, snow skiing and sharing stories of these.

Tulin Demir Dr. Tulin Demir - Parramatta
Tulin has a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Anatomy and Minor in Pathology from the University of New South Wales, as well as a postgraduate degree in Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University.

She is a member of the Chiropractors Association of Australia.

Tulin's interests include paediatrics, spinal maintenance and rehabilitation. Her hobbies include reading, soccer and going to the movies!.

Matthew Vogt – Chiropractor - Parramatta Dr. Matthew Vogt - Parramatta
Matthew completed his Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University. He is a member of the Chiropractors' Association of Australia and has also completed further studies in ancillary techniques such as Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) and pregnancy care. His preferred treatment style incorporates adjustments, rehabilitation and stretching. Matthew has a keen interest in acute injury management and wellness care. Matthew is a member of the Chiropractors Association of Australia (CAA).

Matthew believes health comes from a balanced life and tries to implement this in his own life through diet and exercise in combination with work and relaxation. He enjoys reading and going to the gym.

Dr Lisa Riemann - Chiropractor - Parramatta Dr Lisa Riemann - Chiropractor - Parramatta
Lisa joined the team at Back to Basics Chiropractic in 2012 and graduated from Macquarie University in 2005, completing her Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Master of Chiropractic.

Having practiced throughout Australia honing her skills, Lisa has expanded her knowledge base and gained invaluable experience. She has received mentoring from many leading professionals across the field and applies all that she has learnt on a daily basis in both her professional and personal life.

Lisa has is a specialist in the areas of pregnancy, newborns and learning and behavioural difficulties in school aged kids, however her passion for health and healing extends to everybody of all ages.

Dr Rebecca Squire - Chiropractor – Parramatta Dr Rebecca Squire - Chiropractor - Parramatta
Rebecca has completed a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Masters of Chiropractic degree from Macquarie University, and joined the team at Back to Basics Chiropractic in 2013.

She has grown up in the Parramatta area and has a strong connection to the local community.

Rebecca has a special interest in the treatment and prevention of dance and sporting injuries and is currently a dance teacher, teaching ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dance.

She enjoys assisting people reach their full potential regarding there health and fitness goals and works to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.

Daniel DeJesus - Kogarah Dr Daniel De Jesus - Chiropractor - Kogarah
Daniel received his Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Masters of Chiropractic degree from Macquarie University. He is a member of the Chiropractors' Association of Australia and has worked closely with the Sydney Bulls Rugby League Club over the past few years.

Daniel has a keen interest in sporting injuries, in particular shoulder and knee injury prevention and rehabilitation, and in his leisure time he enjoys soccer and Martial arts, as well as being an assistant instructor of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Daniel also speaks Spanish and Portuguese.

Massage Therapists

Tom Foster – Parramatta Tom Foster - Parramatta
Tom Foster completed his Diploma of Remedial Massage and has been working at Back to Basics Chiropractic Parramatta since June 2008. He is qualified in all styles of massage such as Swedish, remedial, sports massage and is particularly interested in myo-facial release, and is also a qualified personal trainer who has been working in the fitness industry since 2004.

Tom is extremely interested in his health and fitness and is particularly passionate when it comes to his Kung Fu training. He is also a member if the Association of massage therapists.

Nedina Wijohn - Massage Therapist - Kogarah & Parramatta Nedina Wijohn - Kogarah & Parramatta
Nedina completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2007 and is trained in all styles of massage, including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports and Swedish massage. Nedina is inspired to use natural therapies to aid in pain, stress discomfort and to help bring balance to the mind, body and spirit. Nedina has furthered her studies in alternative healing methods such as Certificate IV in Aromatherapy, Reki I & Reki II and Volcanic Heat Stone Therapy.

Nedina enjoys progressive & Visual meditation, music, dance, art and good nutrition. Nedina is also a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).

Whitney Crabb - Kogarah Whitney Crabb - Kogarah
Whitney received her Diploma of Remedial Massage from the Q Academy college of remedial and massage therapies in Brisbane and is qualified in all types of massage including remedial, Swedish, relaxation, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, and sports massage and stretching techniques. She has a particular interest in treating neck pain and headaches, and lower back pain and is also interested in sports injuries and injury prevention.

Currently studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Sydney majoring in Movement Science, she wishes to continue on to complete postgraduate studies.

Whitney is a member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists (AAMT) and in her leisure time enjoys watching and playing sports, particularly soccer and has a keen interest in healthy cooking.

Shannon Heaton - Kogarah Shannon Heaton - Kogarah
Shannon is a qualified Nutritionist and Exercise Scientist with a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Sydney majoring in Exercise, Sport Science and Nutrition.

Shannon has the aim to provide clients with exceptional nutritional advice to promote a healthy lifestyle. The holistic approach that she adopts aims to teach clients how to manage their health through well rounded lifestyle programs involving diet and exercise regimes that are proven to be effective.

Shannon has extensive experience in providing nutritional advice to a variety of individuals and can offer nutritional counselling for many areas of health including weight management, Type 2 diabetes, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, sports nutrition, osteoporosis, food intolerances and vitamin deficiencies.
