Scoliosis screens
Each year our team of health professionals offers complimentary scoliosis screens and postural assessments for primary and high school students. We believe this is a very important initiative as many adult spinal disorders arise from undetected adolescent problems. The best form of treatment involves early detection of the condition. The best time to detect scoliosis is between ages 12-15.
For more information on scoliosis click here. We are currently undertaking these screens in the St George and Parramatta regions of Sydney. If you would like to find out more, or wish to inquire about having us visit your child’s school please contact us.

Healthy spine, healthy life!
Why choose chiropractic care over more traditional treatments?
- Safe
- Effective
- Non Invasive
- Holistic
The condition of your spine is pivotal in maintaining a pain free and active lifestyle, a poorly functioning spine can affect surrounding tissues and muscle. People experiencing spinal stress can present with pain in other parts of the body. For example, headaches can result from the joints in your neck not functioning properly in turn creating muscular tightness and even nerve irritation.
Sports injuries
Chiropractic treatment is one of the most effective and popular forms of treatment for both adults and children presenting with a sports injury. Back to Basics® Chiropractic have a breadth of experience in this area, servicing professional sporting clubs including St George-Illawarra Dragons, Sydney Bulls Rugby League Club and the Newtown Jets Rugby League Football Club.
Educating patients to take control of their health
Our Sydney chiropractors take the view that knowledge is power. We feel it is important to educate patients about their condition in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for optimal health.
Our patients learn to:
- Tune into their bodies and identify problems before they reach the acute stage.
- Become an active participant in their own healing through prescribed exercise and self care.
- Be responsible for preventing a recurrence of their condition by committing to a sensible maintenance program.
Children & chiropractic
Chiropractic treatment for children is considered safe and is always tailored to be age appropriate. There are many gentle techniques as well as exercises that can be used to treat childhood problems such as torticollis, strains & sprains, and postural issues. Modern devices such as phones & tablets have become a major issue for children, as well as traditional issues such as school bags and postural habits can cause issues in a growing child.
Accreditation
All our chiropractors are university educated and most are members of the following chiropractic organisations:
- Chiropractors’ Association of Australia
- Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia
- International Federation of Sports Medicine
It’s the little things that make the biggest difference
Back to Basics® Chiropractic understands that our patients are busy and more often than not, in pain, which is why we do everything we can to make your visit with us that much easier. We offer Eftpos facilities for your convenience as well as HICAPS. All you have to pay is the out-of-pocket expense, saving you time and an unnecessary dip in your cash flow.
We also treat Workers Compensation, Third Party, Department of Veteran’s Affairs and Medicare EPC plan patients.
