A List of Workout Routines to Follow at Home

If you’ve had to temporarily say goodbye to your regular workout routines with your personal trainer or your sports teams, staying fit and maintaining a regular exercise routine may have become a lot harder.

It’s important to keep your body moving and regulated, especially when stuck indoors most of the day, which is why we recommend exercising once a day to get your body up and your heart pumping.

This is why we’ve searched the web and have found a few workout routines you can follow from the comfort of your own home and have selected a diverse range of clips to suit your needs. So if you’re a beginner or advanced, don’t want to strain your knees or are only looking for a good Pilates stretch, we’ve got you covered.

Gear up, find some space and check out the list of workout routines we’ve put together below.

1. Low Impact Beginners Workout

The Body Project Channel have created a 30-minute low impact routine and is perfect for those who are beginners, are just returning to a regular exercise routine or for anyone looking for a low impact routine that consists of standing exercises only. The instructor keeps it real with his audience and is a great motivator.

2. Low Impact Intermediate Workout

This intermediate workout routine comes from the Body Project again and is another low impact routine but, levelled up. This 30-minute workout routine is ideal for those looking for an intermediate cardio focused HIIT workout. The intensity of this workout routine is dialled up in comparison to beginners, but if you get through the first routine and are looking to level up, this could be a great routine to do in your living room or even in your backyard.

3. Intermediate HIIT Workout (Full body)

This video comes from the Self Channel and features a high intensity cardio bodyweight workout with no equipment needed. This 30-minute intermediate HIIT routine will definitely spike your heart rate with high-knees, fast feet, and star jumps; plus work your core and lower body with jumping lunges and planks.

4. Pilates Stretch

Cassey from the Blogilates Channel is a well-known online Pilates and fitness instructor. She’s created a series of Apartment Friendly Workouts which are short bursts of 12-minute exercise routines you can do with a yoga mat on any flat surface (or you can work on carpeted floor). Whether you’re after toning your arms, abs or looking for a good stretch, she’ll keep you buzzing and motivated with her high energy.

5. Dance Workout

Get ready for a serious cardio workout with this dance workout which is guaranteed to burn a ton of calories. No matter what your dance background is, they have 3 instructors who modify the dance instructions from beginners to advanced so you’ll be able to keep up with these easy-to-follow combos.

Or if you’re looking for a throwback, you can follow this aerobic video from the 80s with the workout gear and all! (We’re joking with this one, but if you’d like to give it a try anyways, that’s up to you!)

6. Intermediate HIIT Workout (Lower Body Strength)

This is another intermediate 30-minute workout, which concentrates on lower body strength. Featuring a warm up and cool down, this workout is riddled with burpees and squats, with variations on classic moves to anchor an effective and challenging bodyweight workout.

7. Advanced HIIT Workout

This 33-minute routine is for those looking for a much more advanced routine featuring high impact exercises that’ll definitely get you sweating. We recommend doing this routine if you’ve had previous experience with high intensity workouts. We don’t recommend this for those currently suffering from any muscular problems.
